Women

Studies show that women crying can reduce sexual arousal in men lowering their testosterone. The sight of a crying woman causes a man’s chemosensory signal in the body to lower testosterone.

Being Overweight

Studies show that those who lose weight have higher testosterone levels than those who are overweight or obese. As long as you are not too lean( less than 10% body fat ) or too fat(higher than 15%) then your testosterone should be at an optimal level.

Beating your meat

Studies show that it can decrease testosterone if you like to grab the tissue box, lotion, and your computer to research your favorite corn star. Now ejaculating is a natural process that your body can handle so you won’t lose many testosterones but it’s just not natural to do it to pixels on a screen.

Roids

Research shows that when you take anabolic steroids your golden jewels stop producing testosterone. And even if you get off the sauce there is an increased risk of low testosterone.

Lack of Sleep

If you’re lacking z’s it can cause testosterone to decrease. Make sure to get between 7–9 hours of sleep each night to have a healthy sleep pattern.

Foods

There are many foods out there that can lower testosterone, so I’m going to briefly cover the most common.

Alcohol: Regular drinking alcohol on a daily basis has been shown to lower testosterone levels in men but increase testosterone levels in women. Now I’m talking about drinking alcohol in large amounts not every now and again.

Other foods such as bread, pastries, desserts, soy products, and foods high in trans fats like fried food can also lower testosterone.

Now it’s worth mentioning that eating these foods in moderation amounts isn’t going to kill your testosterone. But eating them in excess is another story.

Stress

We all know that too much stress is a killer. It can cause hormone production disruption of testosterone, lowering your testosterone. So the next time you’re stressed, invest in a stress ball or a habit that can decrease your stress levels.

The Average Amount of Testosterone

By: Research Gate

In men, the average amount of testosterone is 300–500 ng/dL(nanograms/deciliters). In women, the average amount is 15–70 ng/dL.

As you can see the men's is considerably higher than the women's. I know many women fear gaining too much muscle at the gym, but if you're just a regular gym goer focusing on strength training 2–3x a week, it won’t make you put on too much muscle size.

How to Boost Testosterone

When wanting to boost testosterone, not only should you cut out these bad habits but make sure you focus on good habits like exercise and a good diet.

There are many supplements out there that promise you increased levels of testosterone, but research shows that many of them don’t affect your testosterone all that much. It is best to focus on natural ways to increase it.

Conclusion

As long as you avoid these bad habits your testosterone levels should be at optimal levels. Allowing you to build the physique you want or to maintain it. If you enjoyed this article, please share it with a friend.
